Baby is napping. I'm making my scrambled eggs this morning. And I asked myself: why haven't I posted this week? Granted... I'm coming back to work after 3 months off, and while the bar is low, I realized that there were several excuses tumbling around in my head: 1️⃣ My tripod sucks (barely holds my phone up) so I can't film b-roll. 2️⃣ I only have one pair of jeans that fit me comfortably so I can't keep filming b-roll in the same clothes. 3️⃣ I need to review every second of every video ad that goes out there, and make sure there are no mistakes. This last one... 👆 this one was bugging me the post. 3 weeks ago, I filmed a 30-second ad. Sent it to my editor. And it was still on my to-do list to approve. 😒 I'd nitpick the font, ask for tighter cuts, and re-think all the text on screen. Meanwhile, my ads manager is waiting for my content, my team is waiting for direction, and nothing is moving. I finally realized I had to get out of my own way. So I created a system and handed it off to my team. Now my editor and team member manage the pipeline straight to our ads manager. I don't even see the videos unless I want to. And you know what? The volume is higher, the results are better, and perfectionist paralysis isn't even an option. If you're also your own bottleneck (and if you're a Type A perfectionist, you probably are), this might help: In 2025, I revamped my YouTube Vault system so it can be as hands-off as possible. You learn the system once, then all you have to do is show up weekly and record.
You focus on what only you can do... sharing your expertise on camera. 👉 Check out the *brand new* YouTube Vault HERE. I'm diving back into the world of YouTube recording myself! I'm curious... are there any channels that you're loving on YouTube these days? ~ Elise P.S. Sometimes the best thing you can do for your business is get out of your own way. |

It's 4am Saturday night and I wake up to find my 2.5-year-old standing at the edge of our bed. I first thought he must have fallen out of his crib and hurt himself. But no, TZ had figured out how to escape. The next day I asked him to show me his technique. He popped out of his Woolino sleep sack, swung one leg over the crib rail, stepped onto the nearby rocking chair, and climbed down like it was nothing. (With his trusty lion pillow and water bottle in hand, of course.) For months, I'd been...
Last week, I shared my birth story over on Instagram and TikTok, something I've been meaning to do for months but haven't had the headspace for. The response blew me away. Close to 1 million views over on TikTok, people sharing their own birth stories, and thanking me for being real about the hard parts. Now I'm a girl mom. And something I’ve been thinking about lately is that one day, my daughter (we call her Bunny) will hear her own birth story. The real story – including all the fear,...
I was scrolling my FB feed last week, when an ad popped up that actually stopped my scroll: Rachel Rodgers was hosting an event in Barcelona. This never happens, I thought. Most online business events are in the U.S. which I haven't traveled to since 2024. And now there was one right in my city!? I bought a ticket, put my now 3-month-old daughter, Bunny, in her stroller, and wheeled over to the cafe. Rachel called the event "In the Room" and it was about 10 people total, mostly expats, plus a...
