drowning in life admin

I'm in the thick of navigating Spanish bureaucracy right now.

Long story short...we're working on changing the spelling of our newborn's middle name, and in a few days, we'll find out if it's even possible.

(I'm told to expect it to be a hard NO.)

We can't get her passport ordered until the name situation is sorted, and we can't do the paperwork in Barcelona... we have to travel to Madrid because that's where the Canadian embassy is.

Oh, and we have a family photo shoot tomorrow too. (Baby girl is going on 9 weeks old now... better late than never, right? 😬)

So yeah, lots of admin going on. Gotta tackle this before work truly gets my focus.

But here's the thing... even with all this going on, there's one content strategy I can still do:

My "Ugly" Selfie Story Strategy.

It's quick, it's easy, and it requires almost zero effort (and it still gets results).

I literally just pull up a photo from my camera roll (usually taken in terrible lighting with my hair a mess), add some hooky text on top with a CTA linking to a resource or offer, and post it.

...And then the views + sales roll in.

Because Instagram Stories are all about being real and showing up consistently, even when life is chaotic.

If you want my ugly selfie strategy (the one I use when I barely have time to sit at my desk), I'm giving it away for free.

👉 Download the Story strategy guide HERE.

It breaks down:

  • What to post on Stories when you only have 30 seconds
  • How to turn everyday moments into content
  • The exact formula I use to get views + engagement

Perfect for when you're took busy taking on admin projects that may or may not work in your favor 🙃

P.S. Life is full. Content doesn't have to be complicated.

It's 4am Saturday night and I wake up to find my 2.5-year-old standing at the edge of our bed. I first thought he must have fallen out of his crib and hurt himself. But no, TZ had figured out how to escape. The next day I asked him to show me his technique. He popped out of his Woolino sleep sack, swung one leg over the crib rail, stepped onto the nearby rocking chair, and climbed down like it was nothing. (With his trusty lion pillow and water bottle in hand, of course.) For months, I'd been...

Last week, I shared my birth story over on Instagram and TikTok, something I've been meaning to do for months but haven't had the headspace for. The response blew me away. Close to 1 million views over on TikTok, people sharing their own birth stories, and thanking me for being real about the hard parts. Now I'm a girl mom. And something I’ve been thinking about lately is that one day, my daughter (we call her Bunny) will hear her own birth story. The real story – including all the fear,...

I was scrolling my FB feed last week, when an ad popped up that actually stopped my scroll: Rachel Rodgers was hosting an event in Barcelona. This never happens, I thought. Most online business events are in the U.S. which I haven't traveled to since 2024. And now there was one right in my city!? I bought a ticket, put my now 3-month-old daughter, Bunny, in her stroller, and wheeled over to the cafe. Rachel called the event "In the Room" and it was about 10 people total, mostly expats, plus a...
