the daily life hack that got 13,904 story views

"Even on a bad day, my daily life is someone else's vacation."

That's what hit me from a TikTok I saw the other day – right between my cold morning coffee and answering 27 unopened DMs.

I'm currently based in Barcelona.

Every morning, I walk past thousand-year-old architecture to grab my cafe americano con poco leche. 🤏

Tourists literally pay $1000s to experience what I consider my usual Monday routine.

But here's the thing – I think this applies no matter where you live.

Your daily life right now is probably a dream for someone else. Or even just your past self.

Remember when you wished for whatever you have now?

The job, the city, the routine, even that specific coffee shop you frequent?

So take the silly selfie in public.
Arrange your coffee in an artistic manner for that photo.
Record yourself with your kids doing absolutely nothing special.
Take yourself to the spa on a random Tuesday.

Not just for the memories (though those Apple photo movies will make you smile later).

Not just because future you will thank present you.

But because it's all excellent fodder for your b-roll bank.

And I'm not talking just your Reels b-roll bank...

Instagram Stories are having a major comeback moment.

Last week, I shared a Story that got 13,904 views. In 24 hours. From one Story.

It wasn't fancy. It followed this simple formula: result + tool + benefit. Then a clear CTA.

That's it.

Lekha from Crazyplannerlady tried this exact strategy after grabbing my workshop and messaged me:

"First time ever I got a sale from my story as you promised in the workshop. Especially I loved how easy you made everything. Introvert me is sooooo happy."

She's talking about "Your First Sale From Reels" – my workshop that's currently just $39.

It's a short training where I walk through how I kept making sales from Reels even while I was off for months at a time.

No complex funnels.
No trying to "go viral."

Just one Reel, one Story, and one automated DM flow that quietly did the heavy lifting.

I might bundle it into something bigger soon, which means this price won't last. Here's the link if you want it.

Meanwhile, I'll be over here taking photos of my fresh morning croissant as I push a stroller through the morning traffic rush with a wiggly toddler who's listening to "Hakuna Matata."

Because someone, somewhere, is dreaming of Barcelona walks and croissants.

~ Elise

P.S. I'm turning this workshop into something bigger with templates and swipe files.

Here's the link if you want it before I potentially pull it.

"Don't worry about the power outage, it probably won't reach Ibiza..." That's what the hotel concierge told us as news broke about Spain's massive blackout – on the exact day I turned 38. Because of course that would happen on my birthday – what an electric day, hehe. Fun fact! I spent my 30th birthday overnight at the doomed Fyre Festival in the Bahamas... so I wasn't too surprised to see this happen. My little family and I had escaped to Ibiza for a beachside celebration, and somehow, our...

Last week, I grabbed a coffee with a fellow mom here in Barcelona. Her baby’s not sleeping great (been there), she’s running on fumes, and she asked me point-blank: “What’s the bare minimum I can do on Instagram to actually get more clients?” I took a sip, thought about it, and told her: “Here’s exactly what I’d do if I had no time and brain fog.” One specific type of Reel – it's getting me 1,000s of comments (even from short clips that don’t go viral). One Story per day – posted a certain...

It's not very often that a friend of mine from the online business world ventures over to Barcelona. (I have to admit: since moving to this side of the pond, I do feel a bit detached from most online biz activities and conferences – so it’s always a treat when a friendly North American face pops by.) Meet: Tanner Bell. Can you tell we're YouTubers? Thumbnail faces are second nature now. While he was here with his family, he agreed to film an interview with me in my apartment that I think...
